The Ministry of Religious Affairs is an important ministry of the Government of Bangladesh. It works for the coordination and development of religious activities, services and religious communities. The ministry manages various projects and activities aimed at establishing peace and harmony in the society by integrating Islamic, Hindu, Buddhist, Christian and other religions.
The main functions of the Ministry of Religious Affairs are:
1. **Hajj Management**: The ministry provides government management, issuance of Hajj visas and other assistance for pilgrims.
2. **Religious Education**: The ministry works on the promotion and management of religious education, such as Islamic education, Madrasa education system.
3. **Various Religious Festivals**: The ministry coordinates and provides assistance in various religious festivals and events.
4. **Welfare of Religious Communities**: The ministry manages various projects for the welfare of various religious communities in the country.
5. **Mosques and Other Religious Institutions**: The ministry provides assistance in the management, development and maintenance of mosques, temples, churches and other religious institutions.
Currently, the Minister of Religious Affairs in Bangladesh holds office at various times, and the ministry plays an important role in implementing government policies.
